An homage to an artist's multi-layered, abstract work, the Julie bags go through a few techniques in the dying process. ZACARIAS 1925's interest in bags as canvas continues with the Julie collection.
Working with artisans in the weaving workshop, the various intricate weaves look at different textures, colors and references from art and nature.
ZACARIAS 1925 Shield can be used as a handbag or backpack.

ABOUT ZACARIAS 1925
Rita Nazareno is an Emmy Award-winning Television Creative Services Producer whose shift to design is a product of passion and family ties. Nazareno is the Creative Director of ZACARIAS 1925, which places a contemporary thrust in the traditional craft of hand-weaving. The bags and home accessories reference architecture, cinema and contemporary art.
ZACARIAS 1925 is exclusively hand-woven at the S.C.Vizcarra Workshop, founded in 1925 in Manila by Nazareno’s grandmother. ZACARIAS 1925 is named after Nazareno’s grandfather. Three generations of women now have run the workshop.
