PANDA FACE
Modal Cashmere Scarf digitally printed with photos taken by Joan Borinstein, owner and designer of Wanderings
“Tai Shan” was the first panda to survive past birth at the Washington DC Zoo. He was born in 2005 and returned to China in 2010.
It was by chance that Joan visited and photographed him at the Dujiangyan Panda Base. By Chinese custom pandas are not named until they are 100 days old, so “Tai Shan” was nicknamed “Butterstick” due to his small size at birth.
