An Ode to Bohol's Chocolate Hills, The Bohol Dress was designed by Michelle Aquino for PULO Project.
The Chocolate Hills are a geological formation in the Bohol province of the Philippines. There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometers (20 sq mi). They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name.
The Chocolate Hills has been declared the country's third National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Made in Los Angeles, Limited Edition 1 of 10. The fabric is a digital print of a photograph taken by Nicolas Libert during a research trip to the Philippines curated by Aquino. This photograph is printed on the finest French silk crepe de chine. The sleeves are made from organza imported from the Philippines.
