"The process in designing the be bag was long and took many turns. It started off as an homage to a music BIcon, shelved indefinitely, until a chance encounter with a beautiful should inspired its completion", says Rita.
The be bag is about trusting in the magic of fleeting encounters and seizing everything that comes with it.
It encapsulates a personal journey for Nazareno- to live free from judgement, embrace her voice, and celebrate connectedness of the human spirit.
The be bag is a reminder to be whatever it is you want to be.

ABOUT ZACARIAS 1925
Rita Nazareno is an Emmy Award-winning Television Creative Services Producer whose shift to design is a product of passion and family ties. Nazareno is the Creative Director of ZACARIAS 1925, which places a contemporary thrust in the traditional craft of hand-weaving. The bags and home accessories reference architecture, cinema and contemporary art.
ZACARIAS 1925 is exclusively hand-woven at the S.C.Vizcarra Workshop, founded in 1925 in Manila by Nazareno’s grandmother. ZACARIAS 1925 is named after Nazareno’s grandfather. Three generations of women now have run the workshop.
